I really couldn't paint these wonderful boats while sailing and I do use photos, but my favorite method is from memory. I want to create paintings that depict the excitement of the sport. This painting was my first gallery sale. It was an exciting moment for me and each time I sell a painting I have the same wonderful emotion. To have someone spend their hard earned cash on something I created is just awe inspiring for me. I hope I never take for granted the wonderful gift God gave me. Cut Throat Trout, Jackson Hole, Wy

I caught this beautiful trout on a nymph while fishing the Flat Creek area in Jackson Hole. What a thrill. I immediately took a photo and released it back into the creek. The painting is in the private collection of my Son, Mike. Prints are available

Historic Lighthouse on the Oregon Coast

The wonderful historic light house is one of my favorite paintings of a lite on the Oregon Coast. The approaching storm is well depicted and has the sense of fury that I wanted to create. There is nothing quite like the storms on the Oregon Coast. Cards are available.

Fly Fishing on the Row River

The Row River in Cottage Grove, Oregon is a quiet little stream that is definitely not on everyone's list of favorite places to fish....it is a great place to learn to fly fish as it is not over used. I have caught many small cut throat out of the pretty little river. $650 15x22

River Rock

I just completed this little painting and it sold already. I believe I will do another. I started it as a practice piece. I wanted to practice on getting the mood of a small waterfall on a rushing river. It is no particular river as I used my own backyard pond as my model. Of course I will gladly paint a similar one for your collection for as little as $200.

Summer Classes at Claremont Colleges

This beautiful building is located at the campus's of Claremont Colleges. I have painted it several, this is my latest effort. I painted this today using an old photo I had. I added the students and the Ford. I wish now I would have make the car red, oh well, next time. 22x30 $750 unframed, $1200 framed.

The Chase

The chase is on....after a gang of bank robbers....this lawman is riding through the night to apprehend his prey....I used my good friend Chuck and his wonderful horse, Blaze, as the models for this painting...22x30 Original watercolor Painting...$2500, cards are available.

Palm Desert Trains

We get a lot of train traffic here in the desert. I painted these two guys passing in our desert, here in Palm Desert, California. This painting shows two vintage engines hauling freight east. They no longer use these engines here but use the more modern version that you see most often today. This painting is offered at $900. It is an original watercolor on 140lb watercolor paper. The size is 11x21

Concours de Elegance

This wonderful old car was part of a show at the Napa Valley Concourse show in 1980. I have painted it several times from sketches and photos I took at the show. It is a small watercolor 14x12 and is priced accordingly. $350
